(12,470 posts)I put an unopened bottle in my car overnight when the temp is well below freezing. It remains liquid until I open it in the morning and it turns to slush. If the bottle had been previously opened, it freezes solid instead.

"Instant" is often used when rapid or quick is implied.

So many people try to over-sell stuff.

You're using "instant" in absolute terms, but in common usage, instant has an additional meaning which is relative rather than absolute.

(8,175 posts)It doesn't just say freeze instantly, it says instantly, in under a minute...so it's pretty much extending the time frame beyond a second or two.
