ALEC Wants to Take Away Your Ability to Vote for Your Own Senators

Thom covers a story about an ALEC proposed bill which would take the choice of senators away from the citizens and give it to state legislators and government by repealing the 17th Amendment. This is what democracy looks like.

a Constitutional amendment is a really heavy lift. ALEC scares me no end but this one is a non-starter.
