Wednesday morning, The Guardian and NBC News published reports based on a book by Michael Wolff, and New York published a juicy, page-turner of an excerpt from the volume. They all add up to a damning image of the Trump administration and especially its leader. The president is depicted as out of touch, borderline illiterate, disrespected by his own closest advisers, sloppy with information, and horrified at winning the election. As I wrote, the most damaging revelations are those that come from Bannona Frankensteins monster that Trump created, elevating him as an insider and failing to see the danger that posed to himself.

(779 posts)Remember when the talk from the Obama White House was that when his wife and children had gone to bed for the night, he sat up and read every intelligence report, and every classified paper from that day?
Now we know that this person who calls himself the president sits in bed from 7.30 pm eating McDonalds cheeseburgers and shouting at the TV.
What has the country done to us?

(9,426 posts)treated President Obama, with little to no respect? Now this orange oaf is THEIR guy, stupid as HELL and they bow down to him. The gop hates intelligent people.

(5,106 posts)At the time of his schooling this wasn't often recognized. Also the schools he attended would probably overlook it, anyway, in the case of a "rich kid."

(5,106 posts)I'm a reading specialist, with a PHD equivalent (credits but no dissertation) in the field. First and foremost have eyesight and hearing checked with children struggling with learning to read. My brother, around the same age as Trump, was not caught during his schooling, but is an intelligent and curious person, so has struggled to read for many years, and is thankful now for books on tape. Trump's lack of curiosity and inability to honestly evaluate himself are his worst faults, much more so than his obvious reading problems.

(41,204 posts)and host David P. shows a tweet stating that Trump dictates his tweets to an exec. asst. that posts them. So there it is.

(41,204 posts)one or more staffers to dictate to 24/7!
In the video a couple spelling mistakes in tweets are pointed out, then there's a marked improvement in writing probly after somebody, something was acquired to proof read, my guess.
And having an 'exec. asst.' to dictate to might be non-human as you suggest, I don't know enough about the technology.

(41,204 posts)'(he) will loose' in tweets is pretty poor. The video at 7:30 mins. covers tweets, low literacy level. In the earlier part, examples of avoidance and excuses for not reading legal contracts and other paperwork are discussed.

(5,106 posts)you just need to consider the literacy level of his follower Trumpbots.

(41,204 posts)improvement in later tweets and shows T. wrote that he has an exec. asst. posting his msgs. after he dictates them.
Many people are dyslexic, mild to advanced like anything else but plenty were missed in school as he probably was given the times which is unfortunate.
I've no problem with any ability challenges, and worked in the disability field for 6 years. It's too bad that for many people the condition like others was undetected, not treated and caused them academic and social difficulties, some lifelong. Btw, T.'s sister, the NY lawyer and judge must not have reading issues in that field.

(811 posts)None of his offspring seem too bright. He has been a failure at every business except marketing his name and now his name is mud.

(5,106 posts)I'm still trying to wrap my mind around that. Chelsea Clinton's education is at least a dozen times more impressive, but imagine the right wing reaction if even the UNFOUNDED rumor that she had such ambitions were spread around?
