to give give Trump and Republicans a free "get out of jail free"card should they decide they need it.

The inventor of Monopoly did not mislead the players. Mr Moneybags of the depression-era was depicted as he was: a clever and self satisfied rich thief who was impoverishing the country and winning.

If the inventor had portrayed Mr. Moneybags as a doddering, demented old fool, the depression-era folks would not have made the Monopoly game a success.

Let's not be suckers and fall for the "Trump is getting older and losing it" framing.

Clever propagandists know how to use both our strengths and our weaknesses/prejudices against us.

Trump and Republicans are stealing from us and winning. Age has nothing to do with it, except that it has given them more time to perfect their game of how to steal and never be held to account.

Next Mr. Morning Joe will be telling us that Trump signed the Tax bill only because he was too old and demented to know what he was doing.
