Why make this petty attack on a Democrat? Don't do the work of the Russian bots for them. Divided we fall again and again and again....

What is she doing for her constituents? She doesn't even have her district offices open, and won't until at least April.

AOC is attempting to become some kind of national oracle, and that's not what she was elected to do. I predict a REAL short incumbency for her because Joseph Crowley is still out there, and he took very good care of his district.

Given that, I can definitely see her as a Cabinet official in the next Democratic administration. She seems like she really cares...just not necessarily for the people who elected her to Congress.

for simply articulating a critique of a high profile politician is snarky at best.

Yes, Russian bots do try and split Democrats, by criticising them on Democratic boards. This has been shown repeatedly over the past 3 years.

Why is it not OK to imply that Democrats who critique politicians are "doing the work of Russian bots"?
Seriously?

I'm sure if you think about it for a while, you'll come up with an answer.

and so pointless and unnecessary. It smacks of "every time AOC is mentioned, I must find something to criticise about her". And that kneejerk "criticise AOC at all times" is indeed doing the work of Russian bots.

For some reason, you, sporting a Canadian flag, think you have a better idea of where in her district she should be making speeches than she has.

....I was born in Brooklyn and grew up in Queens in an area that may or may not have been part of the current 14th District (it has been redistricted several times over the decades) If I still lived there Grace Meng would be my Congressperson.

I still have friends and relatives who live in Queens, some in the current 14th District, virtually all Democrats, and they see the short shrift they're getting from their representation.

You are correct. It will be interesting to see if they will have any buyer's remorse. Maybe they will, maybe they won't. All I'm saying is that there's a possibility that a less-confusing primary schedule, and an experienced challenger (Joe Crowley perhaps) could mean that she serves only one term.

Time will tell... but I'm do not share the same amount of confidence about her future that her admirers do.

and the victory lap concerning the Amazon decision will play out with the constituents affected. It will surely be noted that some local politicians receive the majority of their cash from people outside the district, boroughs, city, and state.

If and when purist politicians cash in with book lucrative book deals, it will be interesting to see if they promote, market, sell, and distribute through Amazon or do the morally consistent thing and forego the $$$$$$$.

Joe Crowley was recently re-elected chairman of the Queens Democratic Party by a 60-4 vote.

LaGuardia Airport, and all the ancillary businesses around LaGuardia airport.

As your articles show, there's a lot of grumbling going on in Queens, and the Democrats in Queens have a lot of faith in and respect for Joseph Crowley.
