With his need to be seen as a tough guy and desire to be a wartime president.

However, you then have to throw in that he half-asses everything (but still expects praise).

And then that praise doesn't come, or things don't work out the way he wants or requires more effort on his part, he quits and leaves others holding the bag.

Which at this point is probably the best we're going to get out of the situation.

there are demonstrations on the streets of Iran tonight. Of course Trump jumps in and tweets in Farsi. Not sure that is going to help the demonstrators.
