for a few years for soups and her morning protein shake and it seems to do the job even though it was pretty inexpensive.

And aim a fan on your hand.

I know my way around a kitchen. That's why my wife keeps telling me to get out of there.

At least 10 years old. Most inexpensive one available at the time of purchase. Still works perfectly.

Braun, body made of plastic, was inexpensive and has served me perfectly for at least 12-13 years.

Smoked two other brands in a few months but this one has lasted close to two years. Used on soups lumpy gravy lots of thick batter quick breads. Business end all stainless steel still looks good.

Love it. Takes 1-2 minutes to blend a huge pot of soup. No more messy transfer to a blender and tons more dishes.

Had my original for a number of years. It did burn out. New one has adjustable speed which is a great feature. Also comes with a few attachments as did original. Wouldn’t be without it for my soup making. Best appliance I own besides my crockpot in terms of regular use. Got mine at Costco for around $29 I think. Pretty reasonable for something I use a lot.

Viking immersion blender. That thing lasted ten years. It was also really expensive, and I eventually burned out its really expensive powerful motor.

A cuisinart will run you under $30ish and will blend soup just fine.
