(206,803 posts)And I once had a personal experience with Michelle Phillips! I was on the phone with a business contact in Beverly Hills and she was interrupted for a minute by someone asking directions in her building - and when she came back, she told me that it was Michelle Phillips! And I heard the whole thing!

(2,923 posts)How cool, my oldest sister had all of their albums, so I grew up on the The Mamas and the Papas.

(206,803 posts)And I grew up on them, too. We had their albums at summer camp - so I became a fan.

(102,525 posts)(always makes me ) This is Randy Graff in the original Broadway version (which I saw repeatedly). Patti LaPone played Fantine in London and of course there are the Susan Boyle and Anne Hathaway (movie) versions. I think they all bring something different and unique to the song, but this one remains my favorite.
