(26,027 posts)accidentally left a badger in a cage in the bushes with a door that opened automatically when it detected the sound of a motorized vehicle nearby.

(22,231 posts)He drove onto my farm (thru 2 gates), in a big truck, and was driving all over hill and dale. He mowed down a number of newly planted peach trees. I did not take it kindly.

(92 posts)a construction company drove trucks down my grandparents drive, across the front yard, and preceded to unload material for a house to be built on an adjacent lot. The material was unloaded on the empty lot between my grandparents home and the lot where the new house was to be built. My grandparents also owned the empty lot. As the trucks were unloaded my grandmother stood patiently on the front porch and watched. She waved at the workers, asked if they wanted some coffee. As the trucks were being unloaded, she called the construction company and spoke with the owner. She explained the situation and that he needed to come get his workers because all the material, equipment, and trucks, now belonged to her. It was on her property, she had her shotgun and she was keeping it. He needed to come get his workers and that was it. When he arrived, he found a four foot nine inch, sixty four year old woman, sitting in her rocker, holding a shotgun that was a little longer than half her height. After he apologized and did a little begging: she told the man that he should have asked for permission and that it would have been given. She added that the material had to be gone from her lot before it was time to put in her garden. Planting time came, the material was gone, and the company plowed her garden for her.
But if I pulled a gun on anyone here today - I would be the one in jail.
Anyway - I tracked the kid down and know where he lives - next time. he can talk to the Sheriff Deputies or the Game Wardens....
