(21,646 posts)Perhaps you don't think of Illinois but it's one of the fastest growing wine producing states in the U.S. with an average of five new Illinois wineries opening each year. French-American hybrids and native American grapes are the primary grapes planted, with Chambourcin and Norton increasing in popularity.

Although I endorse Argentine, Chilean, and Australian wines out of a sense of duty to internationalism...
