WFLA) - A California woman is crediting her dog with saving her and her children's lives.

Nana Chaichanhda said she was in her backyard when she noticed her 8-month-old pit bull Sasha was behaving strangely.

"I heard like a loud bang and I was like what's going on, and I heard Sasha crying, and she kept jumping at the door," Chaichanhda said. "As soon as I got to the door she runs in, starts barking."

Chaichanhda realized her cousin's building engulfed in flames. Chaichanhda rushed to the bedroom to grab her 7-month-old daughter and when she arrived she found Sasha by the baby's side.
