(50,604 posts)Most places in the US try making doner on either pita or flatbread. Berliner Doner has found a bakery that'll make proper fladenbrot, and it makes all the difference.

(54,527 posts)Finding a Döner place in the States is a chore to begin with, and to find one with the right bread is sometimes more challenging than searching for the Holy Grail.

(50,604 posts)I normally get to Seattle once or twice a year. On this years trip I was going to drive over in a leisurely fashion and hit my favorite barbecue shack...but with all this doner conversation I must travel there expeditiously and have doner instead. Oh well!
