Which do you prefer? Personally, I like dark chocolate with caramel or raspberry filling.

(17,392 posts)With mint or with almonds, I prefer dark chocolate.
In baking or just to eat plain, gimme milk chocolate, preferably Cadbury.
White chocolate isn't my thing.

(206,888 posts)Dark chocolate is too bitter for me and I overdid white chocolate at some point when I was a kid, probably one of those chocolate bunnies at Easter. If I ate the whole thing at once, that would explain it.

(206,888 posts)And I'm really not a fan of chocolate with mint. When I was about 10, I sold Girl Scout cookies and I actually threw up over the Thin Mints. I didn't eat any of them, but the proximity was all it took.

(63,221 posts)I especially like dark chocolate truffles. There was a place I loved to go to in NYC called Vosges that had some really exotic combinations. Some of them sound strange, but the chocolate only had a hint of the other ingredients so that it wasn't overpowering, just enough to give it some complexity.

Some of the choices:

(3,275 posts)I would rather save up and buy the good stuff than have the cheap stuff. I will have to check out that chocolatier.
smirkymonkey
(63,221 posts)I used to go to the Soho shop when I lived in NYC and just buy a few truffles and eat one every night. I would just savor it. They would also do special chocolates for the season like champagne and rose or something like that. It was so good! It's not really any more expensive than any other top chocolatier.
It's really worth it if you are a chocolate lover!
