They have a saying in the CIAs bomb squad.
But whatever it is, Lulu isnt interested.
The labrador retriever was dismissed from the CIAs bomb-sniffing school a few weeks into the program after handlers began to wonder if she was really up for the task, ABC reports.
They had high hopes for her, but Lulu has other career plans.

There are a million reasons why a dog has a bad day & our trainers must become doggy psychologists to figure out what will help pups, the Tweets continued. Sometimes a pup is bored & needs extra playtime, sometimes they need a little break, or its a minor medical condition like a food allergy.

(9,540 posts)Surely technology is up to this task. It is cruel and unnecessary to kill or maim dogs when there are now better alternatives.
If we can create robotic soldiers why not robotic dogs or even smaller robotic animals to detect and detonate bombs?

(1,533 posts)If they had them, they would use them. Much easier to recharge a battery than feed a dog and deal with the aftermath.
They also have not been able to create robotic soldiers. Same reasoning, plus there is no need for VA benefits for robots.
