(26,333 posts)The lion prides are sometimes quite a distance from the vehicles, and the mics don't always pick up the sounds.
Right now there's a new mother with 3 VERY young cubs and another lioness, in the pride, has left to give birth. We are awaiting her re-arrival with her new ones.
The best, though, are the leopard cubs. We've been watching one of them for 3 years, now. It's been wonderful to watch him grow and thrive.

(26,333 posts)You can google 'Safari Live' - it shows on youtube and Twitter. I watch it on the Djuma cam. The first screen is a 24/7 camera on the Djuma water hole. Right below is the SafariLive screen. It runs 10 am.to 1 pm, est and 10 pm to 1am, ever day. One crew is in South Africa in the Kruger park (LOTS of Leopards) and another in the Masai Mara, in Kenya.
Here's the link I use. https://www.djuma.com/djuma-waterhole/

(26,333 posts)They can make watching an insect absolutely captivating.
Every so often they do a limited TV series on NatGeo Wild and runs concurrent with the internet snow. The ones they do during the big migration into Kenya are WOW!

He felt like a wiry terrier, I wonder what happened to that poor little guy
The Velveteen Ocelot
(115,996 posts)because apparently his mother wasn't feeding him properly. His fur was, as you said, like a terrier's, coarse and not smooth like a house cat's. I hope the one you saw ended up in a good place.

(23,199 posts)I ran into a woman with a baby Siberian in her yard on a leash for the first time. He was sooo cute, trying to howl at my Aussie but not having the hang of it yet. Wish I had recorded his adorable vocalizations.
