(12,227 posts)6. So great! My pup does the same thing (she's a shepherd mix):
Near the end of a walk in a park or at the beach (she loves laying in the sand), she'll lay down on a grassy or sand spot, and WILL NOT budge for anything. She just lies there and takes in the scenery.
Tug, tug, tug. Nothing.
I've had to devise a method to get her up off the grass or sand.
I also look for clues of when she plans to setup this protest (she has a certain stall in her walk, and glance up at me, before it begins).
It's all wonderful, thoughand makes us love all the more.

(102,565 posts)7. My last beloved doggy (Lab-Aussie mix) used to do that as a pup
She'd just lay down and if I didn't realize it, I'd drag her a few inches, leading to horrified looks by onlookers. LOL. She KNEW how to get her way!
