I lit up my last Camel one year ago today.
I chose Groundhog's Day as my quit day because it was probably my 15th attempt to quit and I had to do the "It's Groundhog's Day" joke
Oddly enough I still smoke in my dreams.

(14,112 posts)It took pickup basketball at the Y to overcome my smoking. Heaving and feeling dizzy after trailing a breakaway made up my mind. It was cigarettes or fun.
You're on a good road!

(183,019 posts)I was about 300 pounds at the time (serious nesting with our daughter) and finished the marathon 9 months later at 240.
I'd quit smoking (started again in 2008) but that's next on my list. Going with my wife to "her guys" at the vape shop today.
Congrats MSgt!!!!

(13,206 posts)this past year - I got up to 312.
Started going to the gym again right after Christmas and now I'm 295.
Now I realize that I'll never get back to being the 7% body fat 210 pound dude I was in Iraq, but I am shooting for 240-ish
