My son took this pic this morning in his neighborhood on Kauai.
What a lovely place for a little girl to grow up.
I was so happy to a see a rainbow on the bus this morning.. it was only 1/2 an arc and not as bright.. but I hadn't seen one for quite awhile.
Then I get home and saw this pic that my son took pf his Rainbow, and just had to post it..
Yes, it is a beautiful place for a keiki to be nurtured and raised!

I love Kauai. Only been a few times tough, and each time was more amazing than the previous one.
I actually love eating poi.

(298,049 posts)got to make it over here. Before I moved here for the first time in July 1992 I had never been. It was always just this exotic place in my mind.
I love poi, too.. from the North Shore.

(298,049 posts)It's delicious at night and in the day it gets hot in the Sun and then it rains.
So the brilliant Rainbow is icing.. so to speak.

(14,500 posts)Please tell your son he made a bunch of DU'ers feel mighty good....... .......
Now that I'm retired, I miss seeing those full-arc rainbows during my job trips out West. Have photos somewhere in my archives of several in Wyoming and Nevada.
Saw one so complete end-to-end at a Nevada site where I believe I could have driven over and found the ends!.....
I think I was the only one on heavy-industry job sites that ran out to find rainbows with every rain..... .......
Cha
(298,049 posts)He was there with his phone at the perfect time. I was getting my taxes done at a place many miles from that spot, and a woman there was telling me about the Rainbow she saw this morning and it was the very same one according to her description of where she saw it.
I was quite thrilled to come home and see my son had taken a pic of it!
I bet the Rainbows you saw in Nevada and Wyoming are beautiful! I saw some gorgeous ones in New York when I lived there.. they're all over the place!
I will thank my son.. Mahalo and Aloha!
