It was an article about an academic at the University of Chichester whose theory, based on some historical records, was that Shakespeare's mysterious Dark Lady was a black brothel madame in London. Williams was inspired to write a collection of poems, which was turned into a ballet with a musical score by Grammy winner and MacArthur genius award recipient Rhiannon Giddens. I just saw the world premiere last week (and also heard Williams speak on a panel, which is how I knew of the Daily Mail link). It was fabulous! More about it here;
