It also has no flavor of its own. It acquires flavor from how it is cooked. Yeah, you can eat it raw. You can also eat cardboard raw. There's not much of a difference.

On Edit: I was wrong - cardboard actually has a flavor to it (and no I'm not going to tell you how I know that).

On 2nd Edit: I don't even WANT to know what "slippery fish" implies.

I have a friend in Japan, she's Japanese but spent a few years living in the states so her English is as good as her Japanese. I once tried to use babelfish to translate something I was saying in English to Japanese - when I sent her the Japanese text she just busted out laughing. She said the thought was appreciated but what I said was pretty hilarious.

...he took a Japanese class and she took an English class. They spent a lot of time laughing at each other. Still do, even after 7 years.
