New year's superstitions

My best friend told me it is bad luck to eat chicken on New Year's Day-you might end up scratching for a living. I had some chicken I had to cook, but I can eat tomorrow. But I made Buffalo chunks, and I'm kind of tempted. So, I checked for other superstitions and found a couple of links that are fun to read:

I played Powerball, so I guess I'll save the chicken for tomorrow, j-i-c

Happy New Year!

was very superstitious about having pork, beans on New Years Day and never putting up the new calendar until after midnight on New Year's Eve.

I didn't know about the calendar. I put my new one on the wall behind 2019, simply to remember where it was!

over 30 years now) one has to eat black eyed peas on New Years Day. Fortunately, my very best friend here in L.A. is also from Tx. and we spend (along with a few others) our holidays together. And, she's a fabulous cook so the black eyes pea soup we had today was excellent!

I've been on a low-carb diet to get my blood sugar down. I do like black-eyed peas.

Happy New year!
