(70,771 posts)are *so* self-involved. Not that actors and such aren't.
Since I had the high school band experience, where we did the "perform" thing - march in parades, play concerts and ensembles for people - which is a totally different experience than just loving music, and introvert, I felt like a trained monkey. So maybe it's the *performing* thing that irritates me.
I walked out where a dude was performing and kept asking, "Did you see what I did there?!1" *SO* full of himself, so Extrovert him.

(5,318 posts)...but I come from a punk rock background. I haven't seen any punk rock in a Grammy show, ever.
Even the Rock Category this year had stuff that did not sound like "rock" to me.
I say that as a voting Grammy member - Producers & Engineers Wing of the Academy.
In fact, its quite rare when any artist/band I voted for ever wins.
I suppose the show would be very different if my picks ever won.
