My heart just aches as it searches for signs of human kindness out-trumping human monstrosity - thank you for these reminders that it still does.

Now THAT is open hearted! Some step-parents love their step-kids as if they were their own blood.

I had the distinct experience of accidentally meeting a couple of patients who received white cells from me and lived. Very, very humbling and emotional experience.

I needed these today more than ever before. I'm so, so lucky to be able to stay home, and to not have to worry about family members because they're all able to stay home as well. But as this pandemic goes on, I keep watching TV and reading news stories (I know I should stop--it solves nothing and makes me feel like crap) about how awful so many people are being, how deliberately stupid so many people pride themselves on being, how truculent and argumentative so many people are being for no reason... I thought living in the same country as Trump voters was bad, but I had no idea how much worse it could get when I see them putting others' lives at risk because they are too blind to see they're being lied to. People being pushed around or even shot over face masks, my God. Nobody's being asked to go to war to "defend the American way of life." Just to wear a damn face mask. It's breaking my heart. I remember when we would all go to Fourth of July parades and just feel good to be there.

Anyway. Thank you for these pictures. It's so important to remember that there really are more good people than bad. The bad ones just get all the attention.

Thanks for this! So great to have things that remind us of the basic goodness and creativity in so many people.

There are far more good people in the world than bad, even if it does not always feel like it
