Worst. Attorney. Ever.

Richard Liebowitz is a well-known copyright-troll attorney. He files ludicrous claims of copyright-violation, threatens a lengthy and expensive trial, and then offers to settle this in order to make it all go away.

Due to his shenanigans in the past, he has lost his licence to practice in the northern district of Illinois. So.... He is filing in the southern district of Illinois, because he refuses to share the case (and the salary!!!!!!) with a lawyer who CAN file cases in the northern district of Illinois.

The defendants have now argued that, as the case is filed in an inconvenient location (accruing additional costs and time), they are entitled to have the attorney's fees paid by the oposing side.

And the judge has agreed with them and now the clients of Richard Liebowitz must pay $24,000 in attorney's fees to the defendants.
