Siege warfare the chocolate lab and the Newfie and a chipmunk

We were in tactical over watch the two furry troops and man on the back porch. Enjoying chew bones coffee and a pipe. Around 06:15 the Newfie decided to use the yard and squeeze out a typical huge crap. And I watched boog covering his battle buddy I think as he crapped not sure if wandering and sniffing the AO of backyard is tactical.

But he flushed a chipmunk and the chase was on. Boog limping and running with his bad hip. Chipmunk running past the Newfie Then the boog limping past the Newfie at a high rate of hobbling.

Yogi the Newfie- Shit I’m compromised no really boog I am cuz I’m crapping hold on.

The Newfie springs into action not even bothering to kick up dirt or sniff his crap. Chipmunk runs under the shed and out the other side. And for about 20 minutes these two laid next to the shed waiting. Until the boys got up and started eating breakfast. I looked out and there they stood at the patio door. Bagels we love bagels and cream cheese man let us in Woof woof wag wag.

This siege will not go down in history as a success. Not criticizing the furry troops think Hannibal saw the gates of Rome at least seven times. And he could not pull it off.
