I'm wondering if today's weather has increased the value of my home

because, after today's rains, it appears I am now living on waterfront property. (That's my veg garden, behind the fence. Guess I won't be planting anything soon, unless I switch over to fish farming.)

I was out in the rain, clearing the storm drains because the street was flooding. This reminds me of last year. I was over a week late getting the veg into the ground because the garden was saturated.

I had plowed it up last weekend but looks like it will be a week before it drains off.

about how I was able to plant my tomatoes and peppers two weeks before Memorial Day this year?

Congrats on your new water feature! Ducks produce really tasty eggs. Maybe add a few to your pond.

This same weather happened last year. The garden went in late but was still bountiful.

Srsly, tho, you ought to consider putting in some drainage there. That has the potential to get nasty. IMHO.

My back lot is the one that holds the water for an extended period of time. We are probably going to dig a french drain. The previous owner put one in, but it is in the wrong location to do much good.
