Argh!!!! True Blood is no longer free on Amazon Prime!

I was in the middle of season 4, and POOF! Suddenly I have to buy it!

Apparently, HBO took all their programming back from Amazon, as they are going to set up their own streaming service.

This is the downfall of streaming. To get what you want, you have to subscribe to umpteen different things.

Also, all the classic James Bond movies went away as well. I was working my way through those (got set to watch "Thunderball" then....nope!)

I wouldn't normally care about such things, but...
It's difficult for me and my husband to agree on things to watch, and these two, True Blood and James Bond, were things we actually COULD agree on.

Watches Season 5, episode 1, and the next time I was asked to pay for HBO. Very frustrating.

I watched all seasons. The earliest ones were the best IMO.

Ditto "Six Feet Under" (although that might not be a good choice right now).

Increasingly, the "a la carte" tv selections via streaming, only means we will now pay MORE than we did for cable.

Such boasting. I said if you think this will save money in the long run, it won’t. I still have cable and will as long as they offer it. Eventually cable will be like the home phone, basically free but the internet alone will cost 200 a month. That time is coming soon.

HBO was temporarily streaming "free" with Prime, #duringtheseuncertaintimes.

I started watching Veep a couple of weeks ago, but I knew I'd never make it before they yanked it.

Not a bad deal as I was charged $5.99 for season 2.
