Just a note about stomach stuff ... A friend had all sorts of gastric issues, lost tons of weight, etc. All tests came back normal. Finally, it was concluded it was a case of severe anxiety. He is healthy today (I don't know details of treatment.) Just throwing it out there as a (remote) possibility that drs. shouldn't overlook if they're stumped.

seeing a child suffer.

Whenever he wasn't feeling well as a small guy he used to come to us and in a plaintive little voice would say, "What will help me?" He doesn't say it anymore, of course, but I always hear it in my mind whenever he is sick or hurt.

Several in my family have IBS and swear by Archway's Coconut Macaroon Cookies, two a day. (I've even heard of this helping mild cases of Crohn's as well.) You could probably find info online regarding it.

I got tremendous relief from my digestive issues by following the regimen in this book. He does have his own (expensive) products that he sells, but I did it with much cheaper supplements from my local health food store.

You said he eats a lot of starches. I have friends who are on gluten-free diets and they say it has helped tremendously. I am trying to convert over to it, too.

Best vibes to your son. I hope he feels better soon.
