I've got all the windows closed, music and fans running, and she's still freaked, poor thing.

My kitty has his thundershirt on.
It's helping. He can relax on the cat tree now.
Before he was hiding.

Seems there are fewer booms.

The fireworks used to start at least a week before the fourth. Really big aerial bombs. You could feel the concussion. The big illegal stuff could be purchased at the tribal reservations in Washington state. But with travel so curtailed this year, maybe people didn’t go? Whatever the reason, it’s a nice change.

Every couple of minutes huge bangs followed by car alarms.

The smaller stuff is continuous.

I suppose that because the usual displays they've put on in the parks have been canceled, all the amateurs are out blowing stuff up in their back yards. Fortunately my cat seems unperturbed.

Fort Worth has a report fireworks hotline and website. Our whole NextDoor population in this area is reporting.
