I start my macroeconomics class next week. In the fall semester I'll be taking a professional writing course and something called finite mathematics. I'm thinking it has something to do with algebra. I took up to college level calculus a long time ago and this class is a freshman level math class, but they say I have to take it so here we go.
I had a shitty day at work today. I fell into a six foot deep container trying to rearrange the load. It was cardboard and I thought the container was nearly full so I hopped in there on top of the load to mash it down some. Well there were just a few big sheets on top held up by one large box. I hopped right in there and went straight to the bottom. I thought I was going to have call for help there for a minute, but after an extreme amount of effort I got out of there.
Later in the day I went to pick up some long rods of steel where I work. The guy in charge of the inventory wasn't pleased to see me. He called me a couple of choice words.
It's hard to keep a good attitude when that stuff happens and after a day like today I just want to say to hell with that place and throw all of my effort into school, but there's no way we can afford it. So I'm looking on the bright side and maybe all of that crap will motivate me to keep doing well in school.
On edit: I'm hitting the hay. I just needed to blow off a little steam. I'll check you guys tomorrow for replies. Thanks.

When things get roughest, picture this shrine (better yet, MAKE one -- serious)
with strategically-placed pictures of Jen instead of Maggie.

(1,013 posts)doctorate in Pysch. He had to work forever as a "bag boy" at a grocery chain, he hated it.
He'ld carry the groceries out to the customer's car, and with a big smile say "Fuck you very much". He said IF someone did a double-take he'ld just smile like a fool.
I worked in a fish and chips place, only job I could find that matched my class schedule.
Fry fish 'til 10 p.m.; shell and de-vein 30-40 pounds of shrimp; and cut fish usually 20 pounds. OH yeah, I also know what fun is. For whatever reason dates would always take me out for..yep, seafood.
Someday you'll look back in laughter. Keep in mind as you jump up to face another fun day at work, HOW many of these folks would even understand what microeconomics is?
Hope this helps.
CONGRATS on that grade!
