How often do you fall down?

I take a couple of spectacular falls most winters, and the dogs have dragged their leash and swept me off my feet on wet grass more than once. I also will roll my foot on uneven ground and go right down. All in all I figure I must have fallen at least twice a month the last few months. Does anyone else do this?

I must be good at it, because I haven't hurt anything (yet! )

Ironically, I automatically fix wrinkled floor mats, wipe up spills, make sure aisles are clear and always use the hand rail on stairs!

I used to take the bus in to work and was proud of, even cocky about the fact that, although
all around me were slipping and falling, I didn't fall once in the ensuing half-a-mile walk (though
I slipped a coupla times).

One day, I found myself SUDDENLY flatBOOM on my ass -- so quickly that I wasn't conscious
of the event itself.

I did the "jump up quickly and nobody will have seen you" thing... so quickly that I'm pretty
sure that nobody did.

Landed an the side of a motorcycle trailer I keep on the side of the driveway. Put a bruise on my thigh that looks like a half grilled steak.

two years ago I started having stability problems that took major surgery to rectify.

Before that I took one beautiful fall at a farmer's market on Fisherman's Wharf in San Fransisco. A very nice fall and roll, concentrating on a bratwurst with sauerkraut, Organic farm raised, saved my camera but lost the bratwurst.

You're never gonna keep me down.
I get knocked down,
But I get up again.
You're never gonna keep me down.
I get knocked down,
But I get up again.
You're never gonna keep me down.

Thanks for the earworm, dude. No, just lie there for a while until you feel better. You don't have to get up again right away. Really.

twice a year, probably a bit more.

I almost fall down way more than that...somehow manage not to.

This spring I was walking one of the dogs and slipped in the mud out in the driveway. We have cameras in the house trained on all areas of the yard but Mr Pipi wasn't watching them, I didn't have my cellphone, and all my yelling and screaming didn't penetrate into the house.

While I lay in the mud screaming for help, the poor dog, on her leash, was going crazy, running through the puddle and jumping on my back. I have very bad knees, so it's not easy for me to walk or get up if I fall. I thought I would have to roll or crawl back to the house but after about ten minutes I managed to get up, bruised and scraped from the gravel.

In May, after we planted a tree out by the pond, I fell again in the damp soil but at least Mr Pipi was there to haul me back up again.

I really need to get serious about carrying my cellphone around with me.
