I have no idea and I listened three times.

Kate Bornstein had an interesting interview on NPR this past weekend. I had no idea she was inner circle Scientology (like, he crewed ElRon's yacht) back in her Al days. When she underwent the sex change she was declared "Supressive" and essentially shunned. It was sad, really. She hasn't spoken to her ex wife or kids, who are still in thrall, for years.

It looks like a promotional video. Love that announcer's voice, too. Very Ed Wood.

He is talking about helping people in a spiritual way, and he is talking about KSW (Keep Scientology Working), which is a policy he strongly supports. I don't know the details of that policy.

This video is along the same lines as something Breitbart would make. It is intentionally edited to make Cruise seem nuts.

I don't think he's mentally ill, but he's probably been deeply conned.

and absolutely no content. Okay, you have the secrets and will save mankind and are incredibly elevated and, geez, show me a secret handshake or something! What do you believe? What makes you so evolved?

Actually I know a bit more about Scientology than that, and personally I thknk it's waaaaaaay out there, but there's something about this presentation that, as you said, seems like parody. But it isn't.

I thought the same thing at first.

With the big divorce announcement I have a feeling we'll be hearing more of Brother Cruise in the news.

I don't know much about Scientology, but IMHO Cruise sounds more like a Narcissist than anything else.

If he's so great at doing these wonderful things (whatever things he's talking about), bringing people into the fold, or whatever the hell he's talking about, well...he's not very good at it. He can't seem to keep even the main loves of his life in his fold.

Katie Holmes was charmed I'm sure (if the marriage was real in the first place), but then afterawhile....she felt like a prisoner and had to get her and her daughter out. She realized she did not want her daughter growing up feeling as she does. Caged and controlled.
