Enjoy others, and enjoy yourself. Avoid meanness at all costs. Practice being patient. Be slow to judge, and even slower to criticize. Be quick to forgive, and to give another chance. Life is short

(2,870 posts)Always give yourself something to look forward to. It doesn't have to cost a lot of money or be something elaborate. It just has to be something fun that you will enjoy. As for the bad stuff: Rip the bandaid off. Eat the peas. Write the term paper. Call the doctor or the lawyer. In other words do the unpleasant things that you know you have to do and put them behind you. This will free up your mental space so you can anticipate the fun things coming your way.
