1. Back in the 80's when we built our house, I had a wall phone installed in my master bathroom

Seemed like every time I was in there, the phone would ring and I got the idea of putting one in there. The installer said it was his first bathroom installation and I said I can’t believe no one has ever thought of it. Was quite a conversation about it when my friends found out..they thought it hilarious but it actually was very convenient.

When I bought my house there was only one phone in the entire house located next to the kitchen outside door. We weren't allowed/able to buy our own phones and install our own lines back in those dark ages.

So in early 1980's? I had phone company install a second connection. The phone guy did me a huge favor by not only adding a living room connection but spreading wiring throughout various places along my basement ceiling giving me the ability without having to call a technician back to hook up lines to bedroom, basement and on wall beside bathroom door when we were finally allowed to purchase our own phones. I'll never give up the convenience as long as Spectrum still provides landline service.

Makes sense, doesn't it?

I hate my cell phone and don't use it. Hubby uses his but rarely.

Went totally to cell phone.

The most frequent calls I would get on my landline were spammers and scammers.

I seldom get any of those on my cell phone, but my e-mail is swamped with them.
