In the early days of the internet on a site like this, maybe it was DU in its first incarnation - 
- someone came up with a contest to see who could come up with a new reality teevee show theme.
The only one I recall was "Married to a Drug Addict". The evictions, domestic unrest, posting bail, court appearances, losing jobs...
