"deliver by" date.
Different parts of the country or just northern N.J.?
Delays started about 3 weeks ago.

(5,092 posts)One was delivered at 5;30 this morning after I ordered late afternoon yesterday..
Most do take two to three days; this was an exception.

(1,392 posts)I found that out recently when an overnight went into it's fifth day.
I gave up and told them to keep it.

(11,932 posts)Ordered some individual bottles of Orange Juice for a business meeting yesterday March 21. Ordered on March 4, and they were expected to arrive on March 14, so plenty of time I thought. On March 14, they were delayed until March 19, so getting close, but still OK.
On March 19 (still not shipped) , they tell me delayed again to March 21, which is one day too late, but I have the option to cancel. I immediately try and cancel, and am then told it was too late to cancel, but I can return if it comes too late. Of course it arrives after the meeting is over. When I initiate a return, they tell me the item is non returnable. They eventually refunded after a 10 min. phone call, but it was way more aggravating than it needed to be. Still not understanding why it took 2 weeks for OJ to ship.
A few weeks ago, I ordered a well pump switch for my mothers house while I was there visiting. Needed to install it before I left to come back home. It was scheduled to arrive and the day it was due to be delivered they changed the date and it would have arrived after we were gone. I was able to cancel the order, reorder the identical item from a different Amazon seller (that wasn't an option the first time), and got it the last day I was there.

(10,014 posts)I usually go with the option to have all items delivered together which pushes the delivery date back by day or two

(90,714 posts)I refuse to pay for Prime. I mean, how fast do I need most stuff?
The extra gopher-beepers even got here a couple of days early, in time for the gardeners next visit. Well chase those little devils away again, by golly.
