Was rushed to hospital from the assisted living place yesterday.
BP was VERY low. Got that up enough to exam him & a colonic mass was found.
Emergency surgery at 3 thud morning.
He was already in sepsis. He died at 8:40.
I was subbing a chem class but they arranged to have someone fill the rest of the day & I came home.
She's on the phone with a close friend so I don't yet know what are next steps.

(65,167 posts)I'm far less affected by deaths in the family than she is. And of course, it's her brother, not mine.
So, I'm just there if she wants to talk & giving her space if that's what she needs.
We'll see how she is when the funeral director comes over.

(32,090 posts)if she was close to him know that it will take some time. You won't have to do anything special, just being there for her & listening if she wants to talk will be enough.
