I have an instacart delivery account, but that company is treating their contract shoppers poorly.
I am looking for another company & since I live not very far from a Krogers, I'd like to know if Kroger delivery treats their people well?
I also have a doordash acct & they are now in this area doing groceries, but the store they use is on the far side of town & the driver would be in a road construction zone if I use them.
Thx.

(81 posts)Kroger's delivers in Los Angeles as do their subsidiary entities, Ralph's and Food 4 Less. Von's/Safeway/Albertson's also delivers. Von's is the best deal if you join their "Fresh" program which is about $100 bucks per year but you get $5 bucks back each month as a discount on your groceries so it is about $40 bucks for the Von's delivery service if you are one of their "Fresh" members. There are a lot more discounts from that "Fresh" membership in Von's which makes it a pretty good economical deal. If you use their electronic coupons and watch their sales and buy in bulk when items you want to purchase are discounted, it's probably one of the best deals around.

(33,018 posts)IC does shop.at my neighborhood Krogers, but I got a flyer for Kroger shoppers to directly shop in the neighborhood.
Instacart, here is paying $4/per order from the company to the shopper, the rest of the shoppers money comes from tips from people like me.

TitleAfter Instacart's IPO, the CEO will have stock worth $15.5 million. But the company's gig workers just took a pay cut.

(17,005 posts)for Aldi, and used the free Kroger curbside pickup. I'm in Marietta, Oh. The Kroger curbside is free. I don't think I had an Instacart account, just paid for each delivery I got. I hear from my daughter that in some places, the delivery drivers have other jobs in day hours and in small towns, not many drivers, lots of delays.
I signed up for Door Dash because I wanted to order food for family/friends who live away from here and were recovering from surgery. It was helpful, and in the Cleveland area, Door Dash expanded from restaurants to stores like Target, Dollar General and Meijer's. Plus, they will combine orders from different stores in the same delivery. They offer discounts pretty often. I pay 9.99/month and can either tip on the order or hand it to the person when they drop off the delivery. I deactivated my account after the first use, then reactivated it, and they just picked up where I left off.
Many stores are offering their own service. I think Kroger has a delivery service they've been advertising.
Hope you are well!

(65,179 posts)Only because I have no car, go to multiple stores and they take EBT. The shoppers here do a good job. I am sorry to hear about how they treat their shoppers. I tip as high as I can which usually isnt as much as I want.
Try Shipt. They serve a lot of places and maybe treat their shoppers better.
