In the early 70s we would drive from Arkansas to Oklahoma to buy Coors Beer because it wasnt available in Arkansas. When it became available in Arkansas we stopped buying it. Mystery of the Universe.

(113,714 posts)Although, I understood from my friends who drink beer that it is not good beer. Consider some of its nicknames, such as Colorado kool-ade, and Rocky Mt. panther p***. I got mad at joseph coors when he got mad at those boycotting him for donating to the American nazi party. He angrily said that it was his money, and he could do whatever he wanted to with it. I explained to him that, yes, he could do whatever he liked with HIS money, we simply were not giving him any of OURS (well not mine anyway, since I don't drink beer) with which to do it. Seemed simple enough to me.

As one who lived in the south for many years I have to admit I dont know what the premise of Smokey and the Bandit was.
Nothing says patriotism then a billionaire giving money to the American nazi party, I say facetiously.
