I had a betta, Gustav, for many years. He had so much personality and was gorgeous. He knew it, too! The conditions for the Bettas in those tiny cups at the pet stores make me feel ill, cant even look when walking past.
Bless that sweet woman! It sounds like she finds as much joy in helping the fish as they do living in their big, beautiful new tanks.
Im going to look in the old photo box for a pic Gustav. Will post them if I find any.

When bettas and gouramis build bubble nests it doesn't mean they're "more active," it means they're horny.
