(66,501 posts)Pretty good neat or in a vodka-tonic. Kind of sweet, with some peppery notes.

(24,791 posts)I got some Haku at my local Grocery Outlet. Very smooth!
However, I've drunk myself out of my fevertree tonic (the only one my delicate stomach can handle), so it's been martinis the past few evenings!
Great to see ya here!

Probably feels good to be back! It sounds like the universe has been smiling on you lately with your work scene, hope that continues. It is good to have a time, like Friday evening, to chill out and be with friends, catch a little buzz and enjoy a little private interest time.
Aristus
(66,501 posts)Yeah, a little buzz feels good right now. Ive missed it. Mind-altering drugs make life on this forlorn little pebble a little more bearable
Flat out keeps me sane and bearable for others!
These days, I'm all for mental floss taken as needed.

beverages for me. Family lore has it that my maternal grandmothers parents were both alcoholics, so Ive had a lifelong personal policy of never drinking alone. Seeing as a second glass of wine makes me very drowsy, I dont think Im at any risk of ever having a drinking problem, but it seemed wise not to tempt fate.
So, I will hoist a glass of Trader Joes organic green tea and lemonade mixed 2:1 with their sparkling grapefruit soda and say a hearty Welcome Back to Friday evening buzz sessions -
I actually prefer to drink alone. I can get as crazy as I want, and nobody sees it. Its very cathartic.

you probably wont see this until Saturday, but I want to ask you when I can lay the anxiety aside for fear TFG will be in our lives forever. I just want to be done with him.
I hope all DUers are doing well this weekend. And I want to thank all the attorneys who are fighting for our democracy.

(112,592 posts)Yes, I remembered.
I'm finishing dinner, but I bought pomegranate juice today and I have some Sprite and Skyy vodka plus I unpacked some martini glasses a few weeks ago so that should make for a showy cocktail.
It's kind of strange that I haven't been able to find pomegranate arils for salads the last few weeks. I guess that they are out of season.

I have a few suits that I will probably have to swallow my pride and have let out. Theyre too high quality to be hanging unworn in the closet.

(66,501 posts)I tried it, and disliked it so much, I couldnt finish the bottle; not even as a mixer. Too bitter. It tasted like juniper, which is what you want in a gin, but not a vodka.
