(6,011 posts)Yogurt. My favorite kinds are Safeway Open Nature, and Brown Cow Maple Cream Top Yogurt-
Yum. I'd rather have either of those than ice cream.

(12,132 posts)until I tried that greek yogurt. I don't hate that.
Strawberry is best but I'm interested in getting unflavored to make sauce like that Tzatziki sauce on gyros. Or maybe trying to duplicate the goddess dressing that my favorite steak place makes (they make all their dressings in house and this stuff is worth going in just to get a salad.)

(24,721 posts)They taste like the chocolate-covered nut topping on a waffle-coned drumstick, which is the part I like best. Yum!

(6,011 posts)I visited a Hagen-Daz shop years ago and had a coffee ice cream bar dipped right then and there in chocolate and toasted almonds. That was memorably good, so I bought a box of snack size HD bars of the same flavor so we could have them for dessert. Each one is only about 4-5 bites. My great uncle said he loved dessert, but it only had to be about the size of a golf ball.

(24,721 posts)Which reminds me...every February, Baskin & Robbins sells the most wonderful flavor of ice cream called "Love Potion No. 39" & I have to remember to stop in to get some.
I looked it up to get the description:
Cupid's White Chocolate and Raspberry ice creams swirled with a raspberry ribbon and loaded with raspberry-filled chocolate hearts and chocolate chips.

(2,682 posts)and I indulge in the 86% or 90% cocoa bars. Very low sugar and a powerful chocolate taste. I can only eat one little square at a sitting -- saving more for the next day. Yum!

(2,682 posts)I guess that means that a dark chocolate cheesecake would be a good treat? LOL

(21,046 posts)I have a bag of Brach's. They taste better than the ones from Necco (New England Confectionary Company).
marzipanni
(6,011 posts)I think they used to taste better than they do now. I heard this short report on NPR about Necco's change back from natural flavors/colors to the original, so I wonder if they changed the flavors of the hearts, as well.
