I just walked away from a discussion that had me really angry.

And I wanted to tell somebody. Instead of pursuing it, I just walked away. Well, figuratively because I am still sitting in my chair, but I left the thread and I am going to go read for awhile.

That is a really big step for me.

Carry on.

I often do so, and/or don't join in.
Young daughter was advised to do such by counselor, when she was young, having emotional issues w sister + father. Sister now complains about me and her sister walking away, but its often the best/only way to deal w unpleasantness.

We all KNOW that there are times when we are wasting time we could use in a more civil way, but most of us still have problems putting that knowledge into action.

Good for you! Now just relax.
