p.s. I also love the little frog. I once came home after driving by the nearby watershed and discovered one of those little frogs with the sticky feet clinging to my car like a hood ornament. I couldn't know exactly where he came from, so I tried to relocate him not in, but near, some kind of water. Those little guys can jump!

(2,208 posts)I do believe what you are doing here is copyright infringement of the very worst kind!
Do you have permission from the Cheezburger network to do this here?
If so, ignore me.
If not...
This is one of the types of abuse that the SOPA/PIPA bills are meant to address.
What you're doing here is taking someone else's content, and repackaging it as your own.
You've even put your own name on it!
You are denying the original content provider the chance to put their advertisements in front of other people's eyeballs, and therefore are denying them the possibility of revenue.
You haven't provided links to the original content, or attribution of any kind.
You haven't provided proof that the original content provider has granted you permission to repackage their content.
You've copied the content to your own photobucket account, so at least you're not using their bandwidth. And you're not selling ads for this, so those parts are good.
After the whole Righthaven flap, I don't see how the owners of DU can let this happen week after week. What Righthaven accused DU of doing was clearly within fair use, while this clearly seems to be a copyright violation.
Again, you may have permission, or it may be that the Cheezburger network just doesn't care, as this may serve to drive traffic to their sites. Although, I don't see how that can be the case without attribution.
I know, I know... lighten up Rev, it's just LoLcats...
However, if this were my content taken from my website, I would have my lawyer on it pronto, at the very least to get links to the original content, so as to drive traffic to the original.
'Nuff said...

(31,955 posts)The others were captured from pages on facebook that encourage their sharing, or were done by friends.
I didn't put my name on them, another DUer drew the banner(s) and shared it with me. I post that as a weekly thank you to him, and to the friends who send me suggestions each week. I could and would not do this without them. I have never stolen from ticanhazcheezburger, and after 3 plus years of doing this, you'd think that they'd have gotten word to me somehow if there was a problem.
Have a great Sunday.

(2,289 posts)Once again you have delivered a good end/start of the week (it is all about perspective I think ).
I hope you have a good V day , just watch the weather...cupids are heavier than they look and if they are coming in a down pour...let's just say that it is best to stay inside. Besides, if there are that many, they end up with nothing to do but bum food or cigs.
I liked this one:
Back in my geology days I was on a field methods class that went around the west and Northish of the country. We were there to learn to be Phd's (Post Hole Diggers). We mainly camped at nat/state parks.
At one crowded park, after we were done for the day and relaxing everyone (us and tons of families that happened to be there too) heard this loud 'BOOM' from the central restroom. It resonated, making it louder and yet everyone knew what it was, however we didn't expect to hear the next part. The guy yelled out 'Fire One!'.
We were all laughing, the others just looked at us with a combo of humor/disbelief/embarassment/and a few disgusts. It was followed by a smaller 'boom', but this time the voice afterwards yelled 'Danger! Torpedoo stuck in tube!'. That was hilarious. I'm just glad I wasn't there with a family and having to try to explain to a young kid what it meant.
Anyway...The mobile defense system reminded me of that day and just seemed like it would have been perfect for that afternoon.
