(31,412 posts)What a fun shot to catch those three little bandits!
Maybe that's why my Snowy always wants to sniff a certain storm drain? I always figured
a local cat had been down there...but maybe it's a bandit!
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,953 posts)Maybe both, and three of each.
Have a wonderful Sunday, and may there be only a few weeks left of winter.

(11,065 posts)And here I thought this was yet another strange Akita thing. They have to check every single drain. There are over two dozen damn drains in the parking lot of the strip mall behind my house and my dog has to check every single one of them every night. My previous two doggies did the same thing with checking every drain. I still don't know if they're always satisfied with them or think they're too hopeless to bother with. I'll say this though, they're damn diligent... they NEVER miss a single one.

(22,288 posts)In Texas, we have humongeous storm drains....and there is a big one across from my house. (our storm drains are big because when it DOES rain here, it REALLY Rains.)

("Ungrateful human", indeed! When I was about ten, we were all asleep one night when we hear a BLOOD-Curdling scream from my sister's bedroom; we charged in expecting murder and maybe mayhem, only to find my sister up on her bed dancing like a demon-possessed whatever, and shaking her nightgown like John Bonham playing "Stairway To Heaven". Our Siamese cat was on the floor next to the bed, looking up at her, almost saying, "But it was the biggest mouse I could catch for you!" And it was--when Sis stopped shaking her gown, out came the biggest mouse on the whole farm. The cat had caught it, and brought it to Sis, her favorite human, without taking all the fun out of it, and deposited it on the bed. The mouse had run under the covers and up Sis' nightgown, which prompted all the histrionics! Hilarious now, but Sis wouldn't let that cat near her for the next two years!
SalmonChantedEvening
(31,953 posts)Oh jeez. I would heve made it five years.
Poor sis, and poor kitty, I ould have right uop on that bed with her, going Bonzo, and maybe even Neil Peart.

And the cats begging for food (both of them)...that's my house whenever I fix myself anything to eat. They don't wait for a can opener. They want Mama's food.
And that gorgeous Siamese mix with the crossed eyes. I've never seen one quite like that...so beautiful. I love cross-eyed cats. I had a dark seal point guy with crossed eyes and he was so wonderful. I lost him young to cancer, but he was a very special cat.
