A good-hearted young woman (35 years old) I know just lost her Mom a few hours ago.
In the past 15 months, this poor child has lost: a best friend to brain cancer; then her father a few months
later to early-onset Alzheimers (in his 50s); then a good friend in a car accident; then she had
a miscarriage; then her grandmother died; the next day she had to have her St. Bernard of
12 years put down, and now, just a few weeks later, her mother has died.
Over all this time, she was having an off-again on-again serious relationship with my son,
who has bipolar. He was always the one breaking up with her; he broke up with her for
good on Christmas Day, of all times. She, too, is in need of mental health help, but hasn't been able to get
insurance after she lost it last year, so she has been without counselling and without meds
through much of this. She was always very good to my son, beyond all reason; but trying to maintain
a relationship with two people who aren't stable is very painful....and so is the alternative loneliness.
My son just had his worst year ever with severe mania and severe depression. But she is like a daughter
to me, although we live states apart.
This just breaks my heart. She is the type of person who is always helping others, even to her own
detriment.........now she has financial troubles, too, because of all the help she gave to others. (I've
been trying to help her stop that, but she's in soooo deep now.)
Anyway, any good vibes or prayers for this child who has suffered so much with so much good heart.
The world needs more people like her.
Thanks.

(3,510 posts)Makes me rethink my own problems which don't seem like much compared to this young
woman's. Positive vibes AND a prayer for her.

(28,519 posts)I had a year like that one year, loss after loss after loss. No one deserves that kind of pain. Blessings on you for asking for prayers for her.

(62,478 posts)Sending good vibes. I hope they help. My own life is a big pile of suckage, but hers is way worse. Wish I could do more to help her than "send good vibes"...

(2,004 posts)That poor woman has been through too much. Please let her know she has someone in Ohio wishing her well, too. Each and every person is so special and important in their own way, wish we had better support for people in their time of need. Good luck and best wishes to you all.

(6,011 posts)Look up hospice-grief counseling in the area where she lives. Grief counseling is often available at no charge, through hospices and other agencies.
