Who should I call?

(7,699 posts)1. I wonder if this could be an old phone line from our land line days?
We had a land line until a few years ago then we switched to comcast.

if it's a bundled cable (2or3 cables one may be a steel cable) it's probably power

they will send for the power company.
Ok, I must clarify that this is the way it has worked for me twice when I had trees and power lines down. Firemen came but the call to the power company was made by the 911 dispatch.

No doubt it is growing by the minute.

(7,699 posts)6. I called 911. They 'made a note of it' and told me to call the power company. Oh well.

I think ours is 311.

in case it's some stray electrical line.
In my area if you say line down they pay much more attention than no power.
