John Henson, Muppets Puppeteer and Son of Jim Henson, Dies of Heart Attack at 48


John Henson, the Muppets puppeteer and son of the legendary Jim Henson, has died of a heart attack.

He was 48.

Henson was a puppeteer and performer for his father’s creations, including a long stint as the beloved ogre Sweetums.

The Jim Henson Company confirmed the news on Saturday

I drove past his beautiful home in Saugerties very often. The townsfolk loved him.
