Animal advocates are trying to find the person who tossed a kitten from a moving car in middle Tennessee.
According to Eva's Eden, a rescue group in Maury County, the kitten was thrown out of a vehicle driving on Highway 31 around 6 pm on January 15. Several cars stopped to help, and one of those folks got the kitten to animal control.
Their website says vets pulled gravel from the kitten's face, and treated several injuries that may have happened before he was thrown. It looks like he may have been attacked by a dog or other animal because of injuries to its tail, which will have to be removed.
The group says they want to find out who threw the kitten onto the road, and make sure they are not abusing any other animals. They are asking for anyone with information to call City of Columbia Animal Control at (931) 375-1408.
Once the kitten is healed, it will be available for adoption.

(20,176 posts)When they find this asshole, they're looking at an astounding maximum of:
*11 months, 29 days incarceration
and/or
*$2500 in fines.
Edit: Animal cruelty is a Class-A Misdemeanor in TN. Those are the sentencing guidelines for all Class-A Misdemeanors.
