Back in the day, my first wife and I would quit our jobs every summer and spend about three months backpacking in Yosemite. Back far enough and long enough that the only way we knew it was a weekend was when the mule and horse outfitters would come through with the tourists. When we finally came back down it took a month to get used to washing with hot water.

A very special and unforgettable period in my life. We also did Lassen and Kings canyon. Had a bear tear the top off my TR4 and had to drive two days from Lassen to Sacramento to get a new top, then went on to Kings canyon.

Too old for that shit now but what memories.

Edited cause we still don't have spellcheck and I can't spell for shit but I read enough to know when it looks wrong.
